For weeks, the Dallas area has been a distant observer to one of the nation’s
worst years for tornadoes. On Tuesday, it got a close-up view as a tornadic
storm system packing heavy rain and damaging hail held it in its grip.
Supercell's circulating. Velocity. Ice falling from the sky. Sirens warn of tornadic activity. Phone dialed with a mother's worried hand. That closet is mighty small. That funnel moves faster still. No barking dogs. Only storm song. Tuesday night.
