A promise to eat something green during the Yuletide season is a noble goal. Based on personal experience, there are plenty of December pitfalls which quickly turn into New Year's Resolutions:

Less of one thing.
More of another.
When darkness comes early, and a little light is much needed medicine, ease up on the would've-could've- should've lament. Be kind to yourself, and to others. Small steps taken daily will provide more, and less, of the necessary things in good time.
